Here, ancient stories are told through historic remnants, Bushman paintings, and fossils. This reserve is part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, featuring three unique ecosystems—Nama Karoo, Succulent Karoo, and Fynbos—restored to highlight a variety of succulent plants.

The land has been revitalized to welcome back iconic Karoo species like Brown Hyena, Aardvark, Oryx, and Klipspringer, along with herds of Eland, Springbok, Wildebeest, and Giraffe. Additionally, the African Big Five—Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo—have been successfully reintroduced, showcasing nature’s resilience.
